Looking for House to Rent or Buy

My finance and I are looking for a place around Saratoga Springs or north to Lake George. After three years renting a home in Glens Falls, our landlord has decided to move back to the US from overseas. They have impeccable timing, as they told us in May in the worst housing market the area has ever seen. 

If rental, single-family and unfurnished is preferred. We might have found a place available starting October 1, so something for the month of August and September or just September could also work.
